Following a refreshing and to be fair much needed victory against Dumbarton on Saturday past, the ‘Loons’ head for Boroughbriggs this coming Saturday for a third clash of the season in the William Hill League2 with Elgin City.
The ‘Loons’ as this article was being ‘penned’ sit five points ahead of Allan Hale’s side in the table, but City do have three games in hand and are due to play the first of those fixtures at Hamilton against Clyde on Tuesday evening.
Elgin bowed out of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup at home on Saturday past the final score line in a highly entertaining tussle with Partick Thistle 3-2 in the visitors favour.
The Athies and their opponents this weekend have to date this campaign both tasted success in the duo of fixtures played. Elgin triumphed 2-1 in early October in Morayshire, Jim Weir’s side securing a 4-2 victory in late December in the return fixture.
As regards admission arrangements Elgin operate a very generous system at league fixtures where under 16’s are admitted free of charge if accompanied by a paying adult on match day. Otherwise charges are as follows;-
Stand – Adults £18/Concessions (65 & over and unaccompanied under 16’s) £12
Ground – Adults £16/Concessions as above £10
