Forfar Athletic v Brechin City – Match Information

The Premier Sports Cup group stage fixtures come to a conclusion this coming weekend with Brechin City the visitors to the Parkgrove Stadium @ Station Park on Saturday afternoon.

It is the first competitive clash between the sides since July of 2019 and with local rivalries at stake, it is a fixture that will still have a strong meaning to all concerned, not least the supporters of both clubs.

Both teams have had a difficult time in the competition to date with neither side having secured a point.

The home side currently sit in bottom spot in the Group ‘E’ standings following their heavy defeat at Livingston on Tuesday evening.

The management teams on both sides of the divide will also be heading into the contest with their opening league encounters in mind, the ‘Loons’ due to entertain Kelty Hearts on Saturday week in their opening encounter in the William Hill League2, City due to head to the central belt on Wednesday evening of next week to face East Stirlingshire in their first ever fixture in the Lowland League East.

Saturday’s game has the usual 3 p.m. kick-off.

Admission prices for this encounter will be as follows;-

Adults   £15

Concessions (65 & over and 16/18 year olds) £10

Under 16’s accompanied by a paying adult £5

Forfar Athletic season tickets are not valid for this fixture.

The 1984 Lounge at Station Park will be open from 12.30 p.m. till kick-off and again on the final whistle until approximately 8p.m.
