Our Match Sponsor v Annan Athletic

Our first match sponsor of the season for this Saturday’svisit of Annan Athletic is Alan Davie Transport, a company who have been superb supporters of the ‘Loons’  cause for many a year.

The company has been in the haulage business since 1978 when Alan Davie and his father bought their first lorry to add to the family farming business interests just outside Forfar.

The company is still run by Alan assisted these days by his sons Ian and Euan with a fourth generation of the family showing keen interest in their formative years.

Alan Davie Transport now run a fleet of over fifty vehicles and have a payroll around the seventy mark.

As a company they are proud of their contribution especially to economies of the Dundee and Forfar area and their support of various organisations.

Forfar Athletic are certainly delighted to have them on board.

They have sponsored a match for at least two decades and also have a regular festive period family outing in the form of a Hospitality Complex package, the Boxing Day fixture this season already confirmed for a return visit.

That apart they have regularly supported other fund raising initiatives at Station Park over the years, not forgetting the odd donation in hard times for the club when no recognition was sought.

The Directors of the club would like to thank Alan, Ian and Euan for their continued backing and trust that their guests will have an enjoyable afternoon with us on Saturday first, in fact we know they will and hopefully they will be rewarded with a home win into the bargain.
