Match Sponsorship/Match Day Hospitality update

With the SPFL due to release details of the 2022/23 season league fixtures on Friday morning, the Directors feel it is the appropriate time to give an update on where we are in regard to our various match day sponsorship and hospitality packages. 

In the first instance we will hopefully have a full season ahead of ‘normal’ business following the pandemic and we were thankfully able to operate all five match day lounges for the first time since February of 2020 at the last three home games of the 21/22 campaign.

As patrons will recall we managed to get the match sponsorship and a limited number of the match day hospitality packages up and running by mid October of last year after an eighteen month ‘sabatical.’

The plans all going well for the season ahead are therefore as follows;-

MATCH SPONSORSHIP  

The programme/itinerary for the sponsorship package will return to full normality with the pre-match welcome/reception being held in our re-furbished board room, this work having been carried out in the close season at no cost to the club, before the party of ten guests move on to the Sam Smith Lounge for lunch etc.     Reserved and exclusive seating will be provided within the Match Sponsors Box adjacent to the Directors Box in the centre stand.

All other aspects of the package remain basically as they have been for many a day with of course the chance to select your Forfar Athletic Man of the Match and receive a memento of the occasion.

The cost for the match sponsorship package will return to the pre-pandemic price of £1,200 plus vat.

It is likely that once the club’s main sponsors have been allocated specific matches and taking into account repeat bookings that only one or two matches will remain available.

MATCH DAY HOSPITALITY

All going well as mentioned above the Doug Houston, Ian McPhee, Archie Knox and Stewart Kennedy lounges will be available for all eighteen matches in the season ahead.

From October to March in the season that came to an end in May, only three were available for the hospitality package which meant quite a few previous patrons could not be accommodated, but all were very understanding of the situation.

There is always a thought to ‘tinker’ with this package which has been so successful and so well received by many in the community and beyond for a decade and more.

However for the mean time the old adage ‘if it is not broke, why fix it’ best sums up the Directors thoughts on the situation going forward.

Therefore it is the tried and trusted package for a party of ten people commencing with a welcome drink at 1p.m. followed by a three course lunch, concluding with last orders from the complimentary bar at 6p.m. that will be the order of the day.

As was mentioned in a previous post the Directors with ever rising costs to deal with have felt it necessary to raise the cost of this package for the season ahead to £85 per person.

We are still playing catch up with the list of patrons from past years, quite a few of whom have not been able to secure a package since the first half of the 2019/20 season as well as club sponsors etc.

Once the ‘dust settles’ in a couple of weeks time a list of available packages and matches will be posted on social media.

1984 LOUNGE HOSPITALITY

This package is being re-introduced at most home fixtures in the season ahead for the first time since February, 2020.

The package is for a minimum party of six and a maximum party of eight who will have a reserved table within the 1984 Lounge for the duration of the afternoon.

A complimentary drink will be provided on arrival followed by a two course buffet meal with wine.

Stand seating will be available at the match and the group will return to the lounge at half-time for a pie, tea and coffee.

A further complimentary drink will be waiting for you at the end of the game and all members of the party will also receive five drinks vouchers for utilisation at the bar in the lounge.

MATCH DAY BOARDROOM HOSPITALITY PACKAGE

This new match day offer to local businesses and supporters replaces the Match Ball sponsorship package.

Join the Directors and club guests in the newly re-furbished Boardroom for the match of your choice.

You will be made welcome at 2.15p.m. for complimentary drinks and nibbles.

Seating will be provided within the Directors Box.

At half-time you will return to the Boardroom for a buffet/tea/coffee or a soft drink.

Complimentary Drinks will also be available on the full time whistle until 5.30p.m.

The cost for this package for a minimum of two people is £150 and for a maximum party of four people on the day is £300.

Obviously only one group can be accommodated per match.
